about us

We help companies UNLOCK belonging-rich talent experiences...

through

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion interventions.

Our Philosophy

We see belonging as a tool for organizational + restorative justice.

Restorative justice asserts that crime is more than simply breaking the law. The impact of criminal activity has ripple effects — causing harm to people, relationships, and even entire communities. As such, a “just” response must address both the initial wrongdoing and the incidental harm. Similarly, organizational justice refers to the employee perceptions of fairness (which are typically impacted by bias, exclusion and discrimination). In order to create a genuine sense of belonging, organizations need to address both moments of inequity as well as the systems that enable or uphold them.

Candr is a collective of diversity practitioners, I/O psychologists and behavioral scientists who provide expert guidance to organizations seeking to build or enhance the efficacy of their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Through ongoing consultative or project-based support, we leverage researched-backed and industry-leading solutions to help organizations deliver and scale programs that will attract, retain and support the mosaic of identities represented in their talent community.

We help organizations improve their equity fluency at the team, functional or organizational levels by designing scalable learning experiences.

Have a DEI Strategy you’d like reviewed? Need one created? We can support the full spectrum of strategy creation, refinement and even execution, depending on your needs.

We offer time-bound project-based support for clients seeking guidance around specific programs. We can also support ongoing projects as a retained partner.

CORPORATE AUTHENTICITY INDEX

ABOUT

The Corporate Authenticity Index, or CAI, is designed to evaluate if an organization’s public statements pertaining to diversity, equity and inclusion are performative (self-interested or profit-oriented) or legitimate.

Businesses are scored across 10 categories worth 10 points each (100 total possible points). The categories are: Representation, Performance Management, Compensation, Hiring, Social Impact, Culture and Community, Employee Listening, Talent Development, Employee Experience and Brand and Communications.

This measure will help underrepresented and protected (URPP) talent make more informed decisions about the companies they consider joining while also surfacing improvement areas for the organizations themselves.
